NOUN

Size Guide

Every number below is a body measurement, in centimetres — not the finished garment. Ease is what we add on top: the oversize cut, the broad shoulder, the extended sleeve. How much is added depends on the style, so a piece will always measure larger than the figures here.

Sizes cut to order

Not every size is held on the shelf. Where one is not, the piece page carries a small ° beside the number: that size is cut for you and leaves the atelier in three to four weeks. The price does not change.

How to measure

Bust — around the fullest part of the chest, tape parallel to the floor.
Waist — around the natural waistline, at the narrowest point.
Hips — around the fullest part of the hips, roughly 20 cm below the waist.
Cross-back — across the upper back, seam to seam, from one shoulder point to the other.

Our fit model

Size S · EU 36. Bust 94 · Waist 68 · Hips 98 · Cross-shoulder 39 · Height 174 cm. Every photograph on this site is that body in that size, so what you see is what the size does.

If you are between sizes

Our XS is an Italian 38. If you usually take an Italian 36 or smaller, this ladder will not hold you — and we would rather tell you that before you order than after.

Ease is added per style, so a fitted corset and an oversize sleeve are not the same decision. If you are between two numbers, write before ordering rather than after — noun@nounperspective.com. A person answers, and she is the one who cut the piece.
